The idea for such a revolutionary vehicle came to Greenwood back in 1968 as he sat stuck in traffic on a California freeway. Around him he saw solo drivers, many of them fat, and believed he'd just had a glimpse into America's future.
His creation, called the Imagine, is a human/electric hybrid, and in Greenwood 's words, it can change the face of human mobility.
In five years, 1 million people will be driving human cars, he predicted.
